"And we've done it by agreement, so that each of us might experience ourselves as The Grandest Part of God. For we have understood that....."In the absence of that which You Are Not, that Which You Are, is NOT. "In the absence of 'cold,' you cannot be 'warm.' In the absence of 'sad,' you cannot be 'happy,' without a thing called 'evil,' the experience you call 'good' cannot exist. If you choose to be a thing, something or someone opposite to that has to show up somewhere in your universe to make that possible." -Neale Donald Walsch, Conversations with God
At some point in your life you may have asked, How do I become perfect? Or why is that person so perfect? Or why am I not perfect? (either at a sport, activity, social skills, or life in general.)
The culture of perfectionism is what holds a lot of us back from achieving our Great Works. Many times it is over for us before we can even get our feet wet. We may think to ourselves, "I don't want to try it unless I know for sure it will work", or 'I can't finish my book because it's not yet perfect, my painting is not yet perfect, my face is not yet perfect' and so on.
What if instead we could see from the perspective already being perfect. Perfectly imperfect.
One of the laws of the Universe is the Law of Opposites meaning everything contains its opposite. Beauty contains ugliness, Happiness contains sadness. Have you ever touched something so cold it seemed to burn?
So your imperfections already inherently contain perfection. Then there is nothing else to strive for. You just do your best, do what feels good, do what challenges you not worrying whether or not it's result will be perfection.
With you fully involved and giving it your all, you have already realized perfection.
Prima materia, the substance from which we derived the name of this project, is described as so many things. Everything from the mystical and metaphysical title of "primal substance" to the very mundane and perhaps disgusting "dung". The prima materia is not bothered by either name and effectively and confidently, can be both.
It's like those memes, Get you a girl who can do both. well, get you a sense of self who can do both.
Be open to both perfection and imperfection, beauty and blemishes. Because everything contains perfection or the potential to be perfected.
This world is process of realizing more and more how perfect and complete it already is which is the same for each of us individually.
Accept your imperfect, perfectness and watch how quickly your world is able to unfold and reveal it's golden core to you.
